I'm inspired by space, colour, light. My paintings are best seen in atmospheric lighting, in the twilight or lit indirectly. This reveals the their real depth and magic. I like using colours that change and that react to light: Interference pigments, pearl varnishes, glimmer effects, gold leaf, and glazes My paintings express tranquillity. They are inspired by nature, with its exciting, sensual, harmonic colour contrasts.. I paint either on canvas, or straight onto the wall in a spatial situation. In my site-specific art existing colours or light situations should also enter the work. |
